November 1, 2023 marks the 41st(!) work anniversary of Finance Manager Teresa Cruz. Teresa recently completed our Employee Spotlight to reflect on her time at the JRCERT and let us know some fun facts about her. Read Teresa’s responses below!
Q: What is your favorite part of working at the JRCERT?
A: The people make working at the JRCERT great. I have always felt that my coworkers were family.
Q: What projects have you worked on at the JRCERT that you are most proud of?
A: I’ve worked on many projects over my 41 years here. If I had to pick one, it would be assisting with planning the JRCERT’s first national conference in 2019. I again have the privilege of helping with the next conference scheduled for November 2024.
Q: Where is your favorite destination that you’ve visited and why?
A: I have visited Hawaii twice and would go every year if I could – I love the beautiful views and sounds (ocean waves!). My favorite island is Maui.
Q: What is your favorite musical artist/style of music?
A: I grew up listening to R&B and love the Motown oldies.
Q: What is your favorite sports team and what is your favorite memory of this team?
A: Chicago Cubs and being around to see them win the World Series in 2016!
Q: What is the craziest fashion trend you ever rocked?
A: Bell bottom pants and platform shoes in the 70s and 80s. It’s wild to see that both have come back in style!
