On June 7, 2023, IT Support Specialist Tanner Caldwell, M.S. celebrated his second work anniversary with the JRCERT. Tanner recently completed the Employee Spotlight to reflect on his time at the JRCERT and to let us know some fun facts about him. Read his responses below!
Q: What is your favorite part of working at the JRCERT?
A: I love that every day is different! I never get bored because there’s always some new idea to research, new problem to solve, or new skill to learn. Also, the people! It really helps to enjoy the people you work with, both inside and outside the organization.
Q: What projects have you worked on at the JRCERT that you are most proud of?
A: I was the technical lead on the website redesign team. A lot of hard work went into creating the new website and we are very proud of it! I’ve also assisted in creating a new internal system for the JRCERT and an improved portal for our program directors and site visitors. We’re very proud of it as well and we are always looking for constructive feedback.
Q: What hobbies do you have/how do you spend your free time?
A: I love to play my guitar, play sports, play video games, exercise, and just chillax!
Q: What is your favorite style of music?
A: Classic Rock
Q: If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
A: Fly a plane… maybe a spaceship!
Q: What job did you want to have when you were a child?
A: I wanted to be a professional soccer player, a rock star, and (not or) a professional skateboarder.
Q: What is the craziest fashion trend you ever rocked?
A: Dreadlocks, green skinny jeans, a tuxedo t-shirt, and a fedora… 🤪
