Jennifer Michael Celebrates 4th Anniversary with JRCERT

On June 3, 2023, Assistant Director Dr. Jennifer Michael, Ed.D., R.T.(R), celebrated her fourth anniversary working at the JRCERT. Recently, Jennifer completed the Employee Spotlight to reflect on her time a the JRCERT and let us know some fun fact about her. Read her responses below!

Q: What is your favorite part about working at the JRCERT?

A: I like solving problems, big or small, that pop up from time to time. I also have enjoyed building relationships with the Site Visitors and Program Directors over the years.

Q: What projects have you worked on at the JRCERT that you are most proud of?

A: I have enjoyed working to streamline our internal processes and make everyone’s work within the organization a little bit easier.

Q: What hobbies do you have/how do you spend your free time?

A: I love any activities that I can do that get me out in nature; walks, hiking, and water sports especially.

Q: Where is your favorite destination that you’ve visited and why?

A: My favorite destination I have visited is Mexico, but I have never seen Niagara Falls or the Rocky Mountains, I hope to visit these places soon.

Q: What is your favorite musical artist/style of music?

A: I truly love all types of music, but my favorite is probably 90’s alternative.

Q: If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

A: I would love to learn to sew.

Q: What is your favorite sports team and what is your favorite memory of this team?

A: I love the Los Angeles Angels, and I remember when Jim Abbott was a pitcher for them, and I got to go see him pitch when I was a kid (California Angels at the time).

Q: What is your favorite meal for dinner?

A: Nachos is my favorite meal for any meal!

Q: What job did you want to have when you were a child?

A: I wanted to be a backup dancer for a famous pop artist.

Q: What is the craziest fashion trend you ever rocked?

A: When capri pants became popular, I swore I would never wear them, I ate my words about a year later.

Q: If you were famous, what would you be famous for?

A: Probably for accidentally sticking my foot in my mouth!

Q: If you were an Olympic athlete, what sport would you compete in?

A: Volleyball.
