ASRT Radiography Curriculum

At its Spring 2022 meeting, the JRCERT Board of Directors adopted the American Society of
Radiologic Technologists’ 2022 Radiography Curriculum. The implementation date for the
revised curriculum is September 1, 2023.

As identified in Objective 4.2 of the Standards, accredited radiography programs must follow
a JRCERT-adopted curriculum. An adopted curriculum is defined as the most recent ASRT
Radiography Curriculum.
Please be sure to review the revised curriculum, which is available on the ASRT website. An
updated JRCERT curriculum analysis grid will be made available by the end of summer on the
JRCERT website under the Program Forms page of the Program Directors & Faculty section.

April 2022 Board Update

The JRCERT Board of Directors met virtually on April 21, 2022, for their biannual meeting.
The Board discussed many important issues and topics and took accreditation actions on
numerous programs. A summary of the April 2022 Board Meeting can be found here.
At the conclusion of the April meeting, two changes occurred on the Board. First, Beverly
Felder, R.N., B.S.N., M.P.A., concluded the second of her three-year terms as a Director. The
dedication and commitment of Beverly as a public member to the organization has been
invaluable. She assisted the organization through initiatives such as continued recognition
from USDE and CHEA, continued implementation of the strategic plan, revision of the
Standards, as well as many other endeavors. The JRCERT Board and staff would like to
sincerely thank Beverly for her tremendous service in support of programmatic
accreditation and extend their best wishes for the future.
Second, Karen Friedberg, M.S., R.N., OCN®-Emeritus was installed as Director. Ms.
Friedberg was nominated as a public member and will provide invaluable insight into
accreditation and the radiologic sciences from a different viewpoint. Welcome Ms.
Karen Friedberg, M.S., R.N., OCN®- Friedberg!
Emeritus
At the conclusion of the April 2023 Meeting of the Board of Directors, Julie Lasley, Ph.D.,
R.T.(R)(T) and Lisa Schmidt, Ph.D., R.T.(R)(M), CRT(R) will also complete their six-year terms
on the Board. The JRCERT will be accepting nominations from the ASRT to fill the vacancy
left by Dr. Lasley.
