Dr. Dehghanpour is a Professor and the Program Director for the Medical Dosimetry Program at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center located in Houston, TX. She supervises, organizes, and leads all aspects of the program. She is an active member of various professional societies and serves on different committees and task groups. In particular, she participated in the recent revision of the AAMD Curriculum Guidelines for the medical dosimetry educational programs, has made numerous presentations in the local, state and national conferences, served as an active JRCERT site visitor from 2009 to 2019, has served as an AEIRS liaison to AAMD since 2012, and joined the JRCERT board of directors in April 2019.

Her area of interest is utilizing instructional technology and innovative teaching strategies in order to create an active learning environment for the students that promotes their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Her latest research involves investigating ways to improve the quality of students’ clinical education. Dr. Dehghanpour was recognized as the recipient of the 2021 AAMD Outstanding Achievement Award and MD Anderson Faculty Educator of the Year 2020.
