Ms. Friedberg joined the JRCERT Board of Directors in April of 2022, bringing with her over 40 years of clinical and educational nursing practice experience. Her experience has been focused on oncology nursing, medical-surgical nursing, and nursing leadership. She began her career by obtaining her Diploma of Nursing from Wesley-Passavant School of Nursing/Northwesters Memorial Hospital. She then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing Sciences from the University of Illinois at the Medical Center
Her latest role was as Professor Emeritus at Elgin Community College where she provided didactic and clinical education, served as the Nursing Outcomes and Evaluation Committee Chair, and the Nursing Curriculum Committee Chair. Clinically, she has served as a nurse manager, quality assurance consultant, infection control nurse, and Associate Director of Nursing. Ms. Friedberg has also served her community as the Senior Citizen Advisory Board Member for Illinois Representative Christine Winger.
