David P. Daugherty Jr. is currently the Market Sr. Director of Radiology at Novant Health which is based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He has responsibility for the acute care imaging operations across five hospital locations. In his role he is focused on standardization of practice, adopting the latest technologies for improved patient care, capital procurement, customer satisfaction, and adopting industry best practice. 

David has been in healthcare for 28 years in a number of clinical and administrative roles with over 12 of those years in various leadership roles in ancillary service areas including radiology, laboratory, rehab services, non-invasive cardiology, respiratory, and patient transport. His professional focus continues to be on leadership development, LEAN initiatives, creation of Standard Work, and High Reliability practices in healthcare organizations.

Mr. Daugherty holds a Certificate in Radiologic Technology from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Mexico in Radiologic Science, and a Master of Business Administration with healthcare concentration from Baylor University. 

He is a Registered Technologist in radiography, CT, and MRI, is also a Certified Radiology Administrator through the Radiology Administration Certification Commission, and a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives as well. 

David is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Association of Medical Imaging Management (AHRA), as well as the local ACHE affiliate, ACHE of the Triad where he is a member on the Sponsorship Committee.

In his spare time, Mr. Daugherty is a volunteer stroke and turn official with USA Swimming. He also enjoys movies, hiking, home improvement projects, and spending time with his family.
