Laura Aaron, Ph.D., R.T.(R)(M)(QM), FASRTChair
Dr. Laura Aaron is a professor at the Northwestern State University School of Allied Health. She completed her radiologic technology education at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana and then obtained her Masters from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. She completed her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Research from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She has served as a program director and department head at Northwestern State University. Laura has had the opportunity to develop new programs—a Masters program in radiologic sciences and a bachelor of applied science in allied health. Dr. Aaron is very active in several radiologic sciences professional organizations including the ASRT, AEIRS, JRCERT, and her state society, LSRT. Currently, Laura serves as the chairperson for the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), the only agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) for the accreditation of traditional and distance delivery educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry. She also serves as the Executive Editor for Radiologic Science & Education for AEIRS.
