Julie Lasley, Ph.D., R.T.(R)(T)Second Vice Chair
Julie’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in health sciences from Baptist College of Health Sciences in 2001, a Master’s of Science degree in administration from Central Michigan University in 2003, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in education, with a specialty in curriculum and teaching from Northcentral University in 2016. She is registered in radiography and radiation therapy and has worked in a variety of positions in her career, including as a staff medical radiographer, a staff radiation therapist, and a radiation therapy clinical coordinator.
Julie served on the Editorial Review Board (ERB) for the Radiation Therapist and has several publications in several journals including the Radiation Therapist, The Journal of the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Science & Education, The Quest, and the Radiologic Technology. In 2014, she wrote her first grant titled Enhance Educational Technology to Improve Patient Experiences in Radiation Oncology and Graduate Outcomes for $314, 950. She was instrumental in securing this award for Virtual Environment Radiation Therapy (VERT). This system has become a valuable tool for medical radiography and radiation therapy students learning cross-sectional anatomy.
In addition, Julie has presented at numerous local, state, and national conferences during her career.
